I loved my 5weeks in sunshine massage school. I feel I did build my Thai massage practice from the bottom up which helped me gain good confidence to offer this amazing therapy to my clients ! Thank you to all the teachers and the management!

I attended this school almost 20 years ago. I was talking to a friend about Thailand and remembered it. I had a wonderful experience, the teacher at the time, who was Burmese, was a beautiful, wise woman. The other people in the class were great. I think it was one of the best experiences I had backpacking through SE Asia.

There are many schools to choose from for Thai massage in Chiang Mai, but I couldn’t recommend THIS school more. Being in the roots of the lineage from the transmission of Asokananda is a such an authentic experience, and the teachers are all so masterful! I took the 8 week combo course blending the beginner Thai massage course with bridging into being a practitioner, advanced stretches and side lying position, herbal compress making and use, and field work with overseeing. As a yoga teacher and a Thai massage practitioner already and complete enthusiast, I’d recommend any friend or student of mine to attend this school without hesitation!!! Kudos to Pop, Lay, Susie, Tiwa, and Paul!!!

Sunshine School has been an absolute joy to spend a month studying Beginner’s Thai Massage in the tradition of Askonanda. I have learned so much in such a short amount of time, and I am forever in debt to the friendly staff and my teachers, Susi and Paul, for being so kind and patient throughout my learning process. I met people from all over with a similar passion for this ancient practice and the unique perspectives I gained from everyone I made friends with also made this course more than what I could have hoped for. If you are looking to get the real deal when it comes to learning Thai massage, go here. It is a no-pressure classroom environment with everyone and everything you need to succeed. All you need to bring is your open mind, and if you study you will do just fine at the end of the course. The hands-on application of techniques is absolutely crucial to learning here, so be ready to touch other people and practice, practice, practice! I took the two week beginners course twice, which I think is better than just once, because the second time through I was really able to hone my methods and adjust the coursework to fit my body’s capabilities and the body type of those I practiced with.

I took a beginner class in 2002 and now come back to visit the place again 20 years later. The vibes still chill and peaceful. Good to be back.

Every detail to support you has been carefully thought out: a spotless space, a helpful team, a well-established system, and valuable knowledge shared while staying true to traditional Thai massage… With friends coming from all around the world, just like me, eager to learn and to keep learning, the school carries its own beautiful rhythm throughout all twelve months of the year.

I completed the 60hr Traditional Thai Massage course with Susie at Sunshine Massage School. The school was easy to communicate with and Susie was a wonderful teacher! The course allows for a lot of spaciousness and practice time, which helps with retaining all the amazing stretches that you learn.

The teachers are excellent. The class size is not too big so you can get help. Best decision I’ve made in a while

This was my first experience learning massage, I took the 60 hrs course and my teacher was Lay. I learned so much and after two weeks I can say with confidence I can give a good Thai massage. Our teacher was amazing with good patience and knowledge. The school is beautiful, clean and well equipped. And the method of studying and practice is very efficient.
